3. Hosting and server logs
This website is a static website hosted by deploybase, a service of TwanIT, the Netherlands. The servers are operated by Scaleway in Paris (France), and pages are delivered via the content delivery network of Bunny.net (Slovenia). All data is processed within the EU.
When you open a page, your browser necessarily transmits data to the server, which is stored in access logs:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- page or file requested and amount of data transferred
- the website you came from (referrer)
- browser type and version, and operating system
We need this data to deliver the website, keep it secure and analyse errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Access logs are deleted after 7 days. In addition, deploybase compiles page view statistics as daily totals without IP addresses or other identifiers.
deploybase processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Encryption
The connection between your browser and our website is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). Please note that unencrypted emails may be read by third parties in transit.
5. Cookies and consent (CCM19)
Without your consent, the website does not set any cookies that are not technically necessary. Services that set cookies or transfer data to third parties (HubSpot, tag manager) are only loaded after you have agreed in the cookie banner.
To manage your consent we use CCM19 by Papoo Software & Media GmbH, Auguststr. 4, 53229 Bonn, Germany. CCM19 stores your choice so that we can respect it on later visits and document it. The legal basis is our legal obligation to demonstrate consent (Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR).
The legal basis for services requiring consent is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future via the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.
6. Contact form, meeting booking and visitor analytics (HubSpot)
For the contact form, online meeting booking and analysing how visitors use our website, we use HubSpot by HubSpot Ireland Limited, 1 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. We use HubSpot’s EU data centre.
When you fill in the form or book a meeting, we process the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, company, your message) to respond to your request. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in handling your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
With your consent, HubSpot also sets cookies to recognise returning visits and analyse how the website is used. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Without consent, neither the form nor tracking is loaded; you can then reach us by email at sales@kloudease.com.
HubSpot processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. As the parent company HubSpot, Inc. is based in the USA, access from the USA cannot be ruled out. HubSpot, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; EU standard contractual clauses apply in addition. More information: HubSpot privacy policy.
7. Tag manager
To integrate analytics services, we use a tag manager operated server-side via our own subdomain sst.kloudease.com. It is only loaded after your consent and controls which services are executed. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time via the cookie settings.
8. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your information to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
9. Retention
We store personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose. We delete requests once they have been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial or tax law) require longer storage.
10. Your rights
Under Art. 15 to 21 GDPR, and subject to the statutory requirements, you have the following rights:
- Access to the data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17), unless statutory obligations or legitimate grounds prevent it
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- Data portability in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (Art. 20)
- Withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3))
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process your data on the basis of a legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
For all requests, an email to datenschutz@aoe.com is sufficient.
11. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:
Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit
